Kinley Metals Private Limited marked an important milestone in the development of its upcoming industrial facility with the auspicious Salang Tendrel (traditional groundbreaking ceremony) held on 28th December 2025 in Samdrup Jongkhar.
The ceremony was presided over by the Venerable Lam Neten of Samdrup Jongkhar, who led the traditional rituals to consecrate and bless the site of the upcoming facility. The Salang Tendrel holds deep cultural and spiritual significance, traditionally performed at the beginning of major construction projects to seek blessings and ensure an auspicious and successful start.
As part of the ceremony, a sacred foundation vase (Bum-pa) was offered as a traditional offering to seek the blessings and protection of the local deities. The ritual was conducted with the aspiration that the construction and development of the facility would proceed safely, smoothly, and without obstacles, while bringing prosperity and positive outcomes to the project.
The Salang Tendrel represents more than the formal commencement of construction. It reflects Kinley Metals Private Limited’s respect for Bhutanese traditions and cultural values as the company undertakes the development of its new industrial facility. By incorporating these traditional practices into the beginning of the project, the company acknowledges the importance of seeking harmony, blessings, and auspiciousness before embarking on a significant new undertaking.
The ceremony therefore marked a meaningful beginning for Kinley Metals Private Limited, symbolizing the foundation of a new chapter in the company’s development. With the blessings received through the Salang Tendrel, the company looks forward to progressing with the construction of the facility and contributing to the continued industrial and economic development of the region.
