Ferro Silicon – Production Process
At Kinley Metal Private Limited, Ferro Silicon is manufactured using carefully selected raw materials and modern metallurgical processes. High purity quartz serves as the primary source of silicon and is combined with iron bearing materials and carbon reductants inside a submerged electric arc furnace.
The high temperatures generated within the furnace reduce silica into molten Ferro Silicon, which is then refined to achieve the required chemical composition. After refining, the alloy is cast, cooled, crushed, screened into various particle sizes, and packaged according to customer specifications.
